About Us

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2017 by Mrs. Bridget Itsueli, Relate Africa is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the psychological resilience of working women across Africa. From traders in bustling markets to executives in corporate boardrooms, women often carry hidden emotional burdens while balancing ambition, caregiving, and survival. Our work is to provide the skills, support, and safe spaces they need to be whole.

Relate Africa’s programs integrate evidence-based counselling, financial literacy, and community healing, addressing the vital link between emotional wellness and economic stability.

Our Core Programs

  • Relate Africa Academy for Counselling Sciences– A hybrid institute for individuals already engaged in informal counselling (faith leaders, teachers, community guides) as well as those seeking professional pathways. The curriculum covers Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, trauma-informed practice, and practical counselling techniques. Graduates are equipped to deliver structured, empathetic, and culturally attuned care.
  • Counselling Services – Professional counselling for individuals, couples, and families navigating grief, trauma, marital conflict, and stress.
  • Community Healing Labs– Peer-support and storytelling spaces that normalize struggles, restore dignity, and spark practical solutions.
  • Financial & Leadership Training– Workshops merging money management with resilience tools to reduce financial anxiety and build long-term security.

At Relate Africa, we believe healing requires more than awareness—it requires practical skills, structured support, and community care.

Our Vision

A Nigeria where every working woman is emotionally whole, economically confident, and free to live fully, on her own terms.

Our Mission

Relate Africa empowers working women psychologically, equipping them with the emotional strength, financial confidence, and life tools to thrive with dignity in every part of their lives.

Every woman deserves space to heal, tools to grow, and power to choose.
